CLIMB Theatre is a nationally recognized non-profit company providing programming to PreK-12 schools for 40 years. CLIMB’s offices are in Inver Grove Heights, just south of St. Paul, MN. However, CLIMB is solely a touring theatre company so all our performances happen at schools, camps, offices, and centers—wherever YOU are!
CLIMB’s mission is: to create and perform plays, classes, and other creative works that inspire and propel people - especially young people - toward actions that benefit themselves, each other, and the community.
In order to inspire change, CLIMB’s theatre artists write, produce and present plays, classes, and Interplays on important topics like bullying prevention, self-control, respect, friendship, acceptance of differences, substance abuse prevention, and environmental conservation.
CLIMB’s work is effective education. Student surveys indicate that young people learn and change their thinking because of us. Many even say they will change their behavior because of our short, impactful programs! (Read more about the results of our assessments).
We are the 2009 winner of the American Association of Theaters in Education's prestigious Sara Spencer Artistic Achievement Award. AATE is a national association that exists "to promote standards of excellence in theatre and theatre education." Only one other MN theatre has ever received the Sara Spencer Award.
In our 2013 fiscal year, CLIMB reached 162,872 people from 410 schools and organizations in MN, WI, IA, IL, ND, and SD.
